Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

We know that this day isn't a holiday for everyone but we still wish you a happy day even if it isn't a holiday for you.

The tradition we pass along to our kids is to think of the things that we are thankful for in our lives and while the top of my list is always Jay and the kids, it now includes all of you who have added so much to my life. Of course I am also thankful for good food, good spirits, and good friends...that, to me, is the good life....maybe I'm actually a hobbit?...

This morning we had to rake some of the HUGE amount of leaves in our front yard before the neighbors formed an angry mob and showed up with torches and pitchforks. Every year the kids have a blast jumping in the leaves. This is our Thanksgiving greeting card to all our readers and viewers....thank you for being a part of our lives for more than a year now.

Well...I'm off to stuff myself with noms (thats food btw...not The National Orginization for Marriage)...Have a good day everyone!

  1. Happy Thanksgiving.

I am thankful for my daring Jake. Even thought I joke about him all the time I can't image what my life would be like without him.

And I am thankful for my pets who give me so much pleasure by basically doing nothing.

And I am thankful for the blog which gives me something to read everyday except Sundays when I am too busy to read it anyway.

    Yay, thanksgiving is fun.

  4. If stuffing ourselves with noms (meaning The National Organization for Marriage members) would solve this same-sex marriage problem in the US, I'm all for it: you can send me them in meat-freezers to Russia, I could use some human proteins from abroad for my work-outs to grow stronger and get more fit and sexy. :)

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  6. @ Swampex, I think a stoner friend of mine put it rather well: apparently he's "still not quite getting [his] head around the concept of moving in and stealing an indigenous people's land, squirreling them into open prisons, affectionately terming them "Reservations", then holding a party every year to rub their noses in it. Must be an American thing." It reminds me of my town's American fundie community, who expect us to celebrate Independence Day.

(for those who are unaware, I live in the UK)
